The annual event China International Building & Interior Design Festival will be held at Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre from March 29 to April 1, 2010. The main theme for Design Festival 2010 is "Green Archi ·New Design", which will focus on the relationship between green energy-saving, low-carbon economy and architecture as well as interior design and materials. Design Festival 2010 will bring all participants the ultimate experience of "Green Life Presents Beauty of Design" through a series of diversified themed forums, high-end products display of green building materials and award ceremonies. In addition it will showcase to all participants how energy-efficient buildings and environmental-friendly materials can be integrated organically into people's life and coexist in harmony. All these features that form the Design Festival 2010 will play an important role for new Urban Movement of "Green Building Creates Brilliance for the City, New Design Creates Values for Lives".

  The W3 World Design Awards of Sanitary Ware will be organized by the China Building Ceramics & Sanitary Ware Association, Interior Design Magazine, Shanghai Expobuild International Exhibition Co., Ltd, ABITARE, TILE and KBB. The invited guests for attending this event is included relative industrial enterprises, architect & interior designers and design institutions. The purpose of this event is to improve the international reputation of ceramics, tile and sanitary ware, spread ceramics design and culture in high level and foster branding products that represents China.

• Golden Bund Awards — "Oscar" Award of China Interior Design Industry

  Golden Bund Awards is "Oscar" award in China building & interior design industry. It is the largest grand meeting for China International Building & Interior Design Festival 2010. The organizer will invite experts and government officials to attend the awards. The judgments expect more designers can show their distinguished exhibits to win the final award.

  Golden Bund Awards Display Area showcases all of outstanding designing products in China. Each year, the Display Area is an attractive area that gathers huge numbers of professionals to have a visit.

• "The W3 World Design Awards of Sanitary Ware" Display Area
  Participants of this event include relative industrial enterprises, architect & interior designers and design institutions. The purpose of this event is to improve the international reputation of ceramics, tile and sanitary ware, spread ceramics design and culture in high level and foster branding products that represents China. The whole event will have four awards – three individual awards, one comprehensive award through initial accreditation, re-examining and final round.

• Red Dot & iF Awards Products Experience Zone
  During China International Building & Interior Design Festival 2010 (CIBIDF), two special display areas—Red Dot and iF will be set up in Hall W3, in which the two world-famous design award-winning products will be showcased. The 250-square-meter special design area is believed to be an ideal place for designers to receive inspirations, contractors to look for high end products, manufacturers to demonstrate R&D ability as well as their design capacities. It is the first time that Red Dot and iF awarded products put together for themed demonstration in China in such a scale.

• Zero Carbon Display Area
  Zero Carbon Architecture is a brand new topic and recently discussed all over the world. This concept is quickly changing nowadays life style & society due to its ecological and sustainable impacts on people living environment. U.K. Pavilion, World Expo Shanghai 2010 will be the first example of Zero Carbon Architects.

• Green Demonstration Model Room Display Area - "Urban Eco-Home"
  Co-organized by third-party inspection institution such as Shanghai Environmental Protection Industry Association, Shanghai Academy of Building Research, The Architectural Society of Shanghai China, Shanghai Institute of Health Science and Shanghai Green Building Council, the green home security system demonstration center will elaborately select qualified green energy-saving products from hundreds of well-known green building material companies, and a duplex structure of green model display area – "Urban Eco-Home" will be established. "Urban Eco-Home" will have a vivid display of energy-saving and environmental protection design concept as well as the little-known functions of the demonstrating products for a better and more direct interpretation of the Design Festival theme —"Green Archi · New Design".
